We recently begun operations in the Greater Seattle Area, marking an exciting new chapter after focusing on projects and clients in South Carolina. This expansion opens doors to a fresh audience in Seattle and surrounding regions like Kitsap County. A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to attend two unique coffee competitions hosted by Olympia Coffee: the US Latte Art Competition (USLAC) and the US Coffee in Good Spirits Competition (USCIGS). Over the weekend, I was immersed in a vibrant environment filled with passionate baristas, creative coffee presentations, and intimate moments that captured the spirit of the Pacific Northwest coffee scene. This post shares my experience and what lies ahead for Jaidakins in this dynamic region.
Discovering the Coffee Culture in Seattle and Kitsap County

Seattle is known worldwide for its rich coffee culture, home to many iconic coffee brands and a thriving community of independent cafes. Kitsap County, just across the Puget Sound, offers a quieter but equally passionate coffee scene. Moving into this area means engaging with a community that values quality, creativity, and connection through coffee.
At the USLAC and USCIGS events, I witnessed firsthand how baristas bring their craft to life. The competitions were smaller and more intimate than some larger industry events, which created a welcoming atmosphere perfect for networking and learning. Meeting talented baristas and seeing their innovative creations gave me a deeper appreciation for the artistry involved in coffee creation.
Highlights from the US Latte Art Competition and Coffee in Good Spirits
The USLAC focuses on the visual and technical skill of creating latte art. Watching competitors transform steamed milk and espresso into intricate designs was inspiring. Each pour told a story, combining precision and creativity. The USCIGS added another layer by blending coffee with spirits, showcasing how coffee can be part of inventive cocktails, oh how I wish I were a judge! ;)

What This Means for Us and the Local Community
Expanding into the Greater Seattle Area allows us to bring services closer to a new audience eager for quality and creativity. Whether working with local businesses, event organizers, or coffee enthusiasts, the goal is to support and celebrate the region’s unique culture.
Here are some ways we plan to engage with the community:
Collaborating with local cafes and roasters to capture their stories and craft
Providing photography and media services for local events and competitions
Highlighting the artistry and passion behind the coffee scene through visual storytelling
By focusing on authentic connections and high-quality work, we aim to become a trusted partner in the Pacific Northwest.
Looking Ahead: What to Expect from Jaidakins in the PNW
The Pacific Northwest is full of potential for new projects and collaborations. We are excited to:
Document more coffee competitions and related events
Work with local artists, businesses, and creators to tell their stories visually
Explore new themes and subjects inspired by the region’s culture and environment
This expansion is just the beginning of a journey to build strong relationships and create meaningful work in the Greater Seattle Area and beyond!
